SPAN is seeking a mechanical engineering student or recent graduate to join their hardware development team as an intern.
Responsibilities
- Create mechanical design concepts for products in 3D CAD.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project completion.
- Build prototype components and perform tests for compliance and reliability.
- Create detailed 2D drawings using GD&T.
- Work with contract manufacturers to improve quality and yield.
- Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory activities.
Job Requirements
- Working towards a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in fabricating, assembling, and testing prototypes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Passion for renewable energy and technology.
- Bonus qualifications include experience in solar or renewable energy applications, part design for various fabrication techniques, and knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
