Mechanical Engineer

Westinghouse is seeking a Mechanical Component Design Engineer to work on advanced nuclear power plants with a focus on designing and analyzing eVinci Components.

• Work with the eVinci Micro-reactor team to design and analyze components.
• Provide technical support for design and analysis of micro reactor components.
• Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering tools.
• Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems.
• Interface with technical leads and project managers for coordination of activities.
• Occasional travel to support design development.

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 0-3 years of experience, recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
• Passion for research and development.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
