Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

The position is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Design Department of Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering, focusing on Industrial projects in Colorado.

• Provide design and oversight of mechanical systems for water projects
• Manage project design calculations and equipment specifications
• Coordinate project mechanical design within multidisciplinary teams
• Generate and check design deliverables in accordance with industry standards
• Support the construction team with design solutions and on-site representation
• Develop schedules and staffing requirements for project completion
• Train and mentor peers and support staff on industry standards

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in Industrial Water or Wastewater Treatment
• EIT certification required; P.E. preferred
• Proficiency in developing P&ID's and equipment specifications
• Experience with SmartPlant software and Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
• Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions accurately
