Substation Engineer Intern - Kiewit Power Engineering (Summer 2025)

This is an internship position in the Design Engineering department at Kiewit Power Engineering, focusing on Electrical Engineering with a Power Delivery emphasis.

• Create design documents and drawings for projects
• Assist with engineering support tasks
• Use engineering application software for various studies
• Review project schedules and ensure timely completion
• Apply corporate standard engineering practices
• Assist with project activities and communication
• Ensure quality and accuracy of work

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• GPA above 3.0 preferred
• Basic knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals, power systems, and substation components
• Familiarity with engineering standards and common software
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines
