Propulsion Design Engineer (Starship)

The role is for a Propulsion Design Engineer at SpaceX, responsible for developing flight hardware for interplanetary vehicles, particularly the Starship, to enable human life on Mars.

• Design propulsion fluid systems and metallic structures
• Review specifications and develop hardware concepts
• Update designs and drawings to support design iteration
• Execute design changes for manufacturability
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams for vehicle improvements
• Create detailed component and assembly drawings

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of mechanical or fluids design and drafting experience
• Experience with 3D CAD software
• Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
• Hands-on experience in hardware design within constrained systems
• Familiarity with fluid systems, sheet metal design, and welded structures
• Ability to work well in an integrated team and solve complex problems
