The role is for a Propulsion Engineer at Argo, focusing on the development of water-based propulsion systems for the Argonaut in-space transport vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Design propulsion components and systems using computational tools and calculations
- Prototype, troubleshoot, and test propulsion hardware
- Qualify propulsion hardware for expected mission environments
- Implement build and test procedures, and own test campaign outcomes
- Participate in design, test, and flight readiness reviews with a focus on technical excellence
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or science discipline
- 3+ years of experience in designing and testing thrusters or thermo-fluidic systems
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
- Experience managing analysis products and incorporating feedback into design
- Ability to adapt under changing circumstances
- Track record of delivering high-quality technical products
- Preferred qualifications include experience with spacecraft propulsion systems, CAD software, and high-level programming languages.
