Manufacturing Engineer, Machining (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in machining for the Starship program to develop precision parts for space technology.

• Develop machining capability for Starship components
• Analyze parts for Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Maintain feedback loop with downstream operations
• Review and address quality concerns
• Procure and maintain machine shop equipment
• Optimize costs and improve manufacturing methodologies
• Collaborate with other machine shop facilities

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of machine shop experience
• Experience with state-of-the-art machining equipment
• Proficiency in CNC programming and GD&T
• Knowledge of precision metrology systems
• Familiarity with conventional and advanced inspection procedures
• Understanding of cost optimization and fabrication processes.
