2024 New Graduate Engineer / Emerging Talent Engineer - Additive Manufacturing

Vast is focused on building artificial gravity space stations for long-term stays in space, with the initial crewed space habitat, Haven-1, set to launch in 2025. They are seeking an Additive Manufacturing Engineer I to contribute to the development of systems for space station design and construction.

• Apply prior knowledge to real-world applications in the space industry.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers.
• Develop laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing.
• Innovate new additive applications, platforms, and materials.
• Work cross-functionally with various engineering disciplines.

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in materials science, welding, mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 6+ months of hands-on engineering experience.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Hawthorne, CA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and simulation.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
