Mechanical Engineer

The role at Yubico involves designing, developing, and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechanical devices, focusing on improving efficiency and reliability of production systems.

• Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and mechanical devices
• Enhance efficiency and reliability of existing production systems
• Conduct research, document findings, and present reports
• Develop design documents for mechanical parts and final products
• Identify areas for improvement in production line or finished products
• Select tools and materials for manufacturing processes
• Work across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software)

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering and 2-3 years of experience
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills
• Familiarity with FMEAs and Solidworks
• Experience with Python, Compliance & Regulatory testing, HMI, and UX
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and precision fabrication methods
• Ability to work with MCAD and ECAD software
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Arena is a plus
