Responsibilities
- Run mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluidic tests on prototypes, documenting results.
- Provide technical tasks related to prototype bring up and instrument configuration.
- Manage lab inventory of tools and parts.
- Maintain lab cleanliness.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and requalify prototype systems and test equipment.
- Maintain and calibrate prototype instruments and test rigs.
- Assemble components, subsystems, and systems for testing.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent military technical training and 4 years of related experience.
- Skill in soldering, printed circuit board rework, and electrical cable assembly.
- Experience with test instruments (oscilloscopes, data loggers, etc.).
- Extensive troubleshooting experience with electro-mechanical instruments.
- Strong background in electrical circuits and power distribution.
- Working knowledge of a scripting test language.
- Nice to have: Experience with EMC testing, analytical instruments, LabVIEW, Python, or C.
