Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle systems, including body safety structures and electro-mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Prototype Engineering on automated CNC part programming solutions.
- Support design assessments and maintenance tooling development.
- Assist in simulation and validation tasks for mechanical sensor structures.
- Engage in engineering design, validation, testing, and concept fabrication.
- Participate in design-for-manufacturability and design-for-servicability tasks.
- Perform data analysis and identify appropriate test assets.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
- At least one prior industry internship or relevant project experience.
- Foundational understanding of mechanical design principles (GD&T, DFM, DFS, DFA).
- Experience with CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD software.
- Basic understanding of quality control and process optimization.
- Willing to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the internship.
- Plan to return to school after completing the internship.
