Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle systems such as body safety structures and aesthetic components.
- Create automated CNC part programming solutions.
- Support design assessments and maintenance tooling development.
- Assist in simulation and validation tasks for mechanical sensor structures.
- Engage in engineering design, validation, testing, and concept fabrication.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Prototype Engineering and Fabrication teams.
- Participate in hands-on projects that contribute to Zoox's mission.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Plan to return to school after the internship.
- Maintain good academic standing.
- Prior industry internship or relevant project experience.
- Willing to relocate to the Bay Area, California.
- Foundational understanding of mechanical design principles (GD&T, DFM, DFS, DFA).
- Experience with CAD software (CATIA V5/V6 or similar).
