Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools for designing parts and assemblies.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to gather insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to review designs.
  • Create and run electro-mechanical testers to ensure component reliability.
  • Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
  • Document work to ensure clarity in decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies; master's and PhD students are also eligible.
  • Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for structural analysis and component integration.
  • Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi's.
  • Proficiency in CAD with multiple project designs.
  • Background in complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to plan and schedule work.
