Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
- Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
- Design, build, and test prototypes to gather quick learnings.
- Collaborate with other teams and suppliers to review designs.
- Design and run electro-mechanical testers to prove component reliability.
- Root cause failures and replicate failure modes through testing.
- Document work for clarity and understanding of key decisions.
Job Requirements
- Completed at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals for structural analysis and design integration.
- Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi's (or similar).
- Proficiency in CAD with multiple designed projects.
- Experience on complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with the team.
- Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to prioritize project goals.
