Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to gather quick learnings.
  • Collaborate with other teams and suppliers to review designs.
  • Design and run electro-mechanical testers to prove component reliability.
  • Root cause failures and replicate failure modes through testing.
  • Document work for clarity and understanding of key decisions.

Job Requirements

  • Completed at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals for structural analysis and design integration.
  • Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi's (or similar).
  • Proficiency in CAD with multiple designed projects.
  • Experience on complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to prioritize project goals.
