Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle design analysis focusing on aerodynamics, propulsion, and power system performance.
  • Perform low- and high-fidelity analytical modeling of vehicle subsystems and behaviors.
  • Generate aerodynamic databases and analyze flight behaviors.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze experiments, including wind tunnel and flight tests.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tackle design challenges.
  • Utilize various tools for analysis, including CFD simulation and experimental methods.
  • Engage with experienced aerodynamicists to learn and apply engineering concepts.

Job Requirements

  • Currently studying fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, flight physics, or aeronautical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of technical content from relevant courses.
  • Experience with analytical modeling and simulation tools is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work in-person at the South San Francisco office.
  • Ability to engage in limited travel within California for testing programs.
