Responsibilities
- Own the electrical power subsystem for one or more spacecraft missions, from system definition through assembly, test, and operations.
- Act as the go-to expert for electrical power system anomalies—drive root cause analysis and resolution on the production floor, in test environments, and during flight operations.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, integration & test (I&T), and systems engineering teams to ensure smooth handoffs and design-to-production fidelity.
- Develop and manage subsystem requirements, test plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Interface with supply chain and procurement to ensure delivery of quality components aligned with schedule needs.
- Represent the EPS team in internal and external design reviews, customer meetings, and risk discussions.
- Proactively improve team processes, tools, and test methodologies to streamline design, validation, and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree or experience.
- Experience with electrical circuit or system design.
- Able to communicate technical issues and drive resolutions across engineering and production teams.
- Comfortable performing root cause investigations using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
- Understanding of space environment: Radiation, surface charging, thermal, outgassing, etc.
- Knowledge of spacecraft grounding best practices and experience with electronic testing equipment.
