Responsibilities
- Drive supplier quality by implementing sustainable manufacturing processes and statistical process controls.
- Engage in all aspects of an APQP-based manufacturing and supplier quality program.
- Gather pre-shipment and warranty data, leveraging LEAN tools for continuous improvement.
- Analyze new supplier capability during the selection process.
- Work with cross-functional teams on major product development projects, focusing on process controls.
- Create and maintain quality documentation such as SOPs and standards libraries.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier processes to ensure product and process conformance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, textile engineering, or industrial design preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the soft goods industry, preferably with bags or outdoor gear.
- Experience with traditional quality tools and methodologies (APQP, FMEA, etc.).
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and materials used in soft good products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in statistical methods and analysis tools.
- Additional computer skills in PLM, SharePoint, Tableau, or CAD software preferred.
