Responsibilities
- Drive supplier quality by implementing sustainable manufacturing processes and statistical process controls.
- Engage in APQP-based manufacturing and supplier quality programs, including PFMEAs, Gage R&R, and Control Plans.
- Gather pre-shipment and warranty data to drive continuous improvement using LEAN tools.
- Analyze new supplier capabilities during the selection process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development projects, focusing on process controls.
- Maintain and implement quality documentation such as SOPs, workflows, and standards libraries.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier processes to ensure product and process conformance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, textile engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the soft goods industry, preferably with bags or outdoor gear.
- Experience with global full-service supply chain models.
- Knowledge of quality tools like APQP, DFx, FMEA, DOE, GR&R, and PPAP.
- Proficiency in statistical methods and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods and materials used in soft goods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while leading teams.
