Responsibilities
- Drive supplier quality by implementing sustainable manufacturing processes and statistical process controls.
- Engage in APQP-based manufacturing and supplier quality programs, including developing PFMEA’s and Control Plans.
- Gather pre-shipment and warranty data to drive continuous improvement using LEAN tools.
- Analyze new supplier capabilities during the selection process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate APQP in major product development projects.
- Maintain and implement quality documentation such as SOPs and workflows.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier processes to ensure product and process conformance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, textile engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the soft goods industry, preferably with bags or outdoor gear.
- Experience in a global full-service supply chain model.
- Knowledge of traditional quality tools such as APQP, DFx, and FMEA.
- Proficiency in statistical methods and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods and materials used in soft goods.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
