Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer at Wisk is responsible for designing safe and reliable high power and control electronics for the aircraft’s propulsion system as part of the Motor Controller team. This role involves supporting various stages of product lifecycle development, including design, testing, and troubleshooting.

• Design low-voltage and high-voltage electronics within a high voltage inverter.
• Support testing of electronics hardware and electric motors on various platforms.
• Participate in product lifecycle development including design support and verification testing.
• Coordinate with other teams to meet interdisciplinary goals.
• Conceptualize designs optimizing weight and power density of propulsion units.
• Utilize CAD and simulation software for electrical design.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues during testing phases.

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable degree with relevant coursework.
• 2 years of experience with a BS degree.
• Proficiency in CAD and simulation software for electrical design.
• Experience in programming environments related to electronic designs.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment and soldering.
• Familiarity with analog and digital hardware development and validation techniques.
• Experience with high power electronic systems and motor control algorithms.
