Responsibilities

  • Act as a Thermal Engineer within the Thermal & Venting team for aircraft development.
  • Develop and implement thermal management strategies for battery systems and power electronics.
  • Support problem-solving activities related to battery cooling and thermal runaway containment.
  • Contribute to aircraft system and component design for effective thermal performance and safety.
  • Assist in technology maturation efforts, supporting prototype hardware design and testing.
  • Post-process and report analysis results to optimize thermal management systems.
  • Perform system analysis using first-principles calculations and simulations.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Preferred fields of study include Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in developing complex hardware products in aerospace or similar applications.
  • CAD experience with commercial packages like Solidworks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
  • Hands-on experience with prototypes and tests, especially in battery-powered and thermal-fluid systems.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation practices for thermally-focused testing.
  • Programming experience with Matlab/Simulink or Python for system modeling and data processing.
