Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design from concept to production for WHOOP bands and accessories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product architecture decisions.
- Create and manage CAD models and detailed documentation for design reviews and manufacturing.
- Spearhead sourcing and tooling efforts for mechanical components.
- Define and execute validation test plans and implement design improvements.
- Provide technical leadership during design reviews and supplier engagements.
- Mentor junior engineers in mechanical design and product development.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
- 6+ years of mechanical design experience with full product development cycles.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
- Experience with materials and processes including plastics and textiles.
- Proven success in managing global suppliers and manufacturers.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with wearables and human factors engineering preferred.
