Mechanical Engineer II (Advanced Development)

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer II on the Hardware Advanced Development Team at WHOOP, focusing on the design and development of innovative hardware solutions to enhance human performance.

• Contribute to mechanical design and development of early-stage projects.
• Design, prototype, and test complex mechanical components meeting stringent requirements.
• Develop and present multiple design solutions for technical challenges.
• Support comprehensive testing and validation plans using advanced methodologies.
• Partner with the Hardware Product Team for engineering evaluations of new technologies.
• Operate and maintain in-house prototyping tools for proof-of-concept models.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on new technologies and manufacturing methods.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in complex mechanical product design.
• Experience with SolidWorks CAD and rapid prototyping tools.
• Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with validation testing methods and statistical analysis tools.
• Preferred experience in high-volume manufacturing processes.
• Passion for health or wearable technologies and human-centered design.
