Responsibilities
- Drive manufacturing technical readiness through process optimization, documentation, and fixture validation.
- Coordinate with factory teams for the design and qualification of fixtures and equipment.
- Ensure processes meet product specifications and are verified via process control.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodology and DFX for continuous improvement efforts.
- Conduct DOEs and FAs to resolve manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Manage rapid development cycles while evaluating options for optimal form, fit, and function.
- Provide project status and issue tracking reports regarding development progress.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience in moderate to high volume consumer electronics.
- Experience with ultrasonic welding, adhesives, heat staking, and assembly of small battery-powered electronics.
- Understanding of injection molded plastic principles and process qualification.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for process quality evaluation.
- Proven track record in qualifying manufacturing processes and troubleshooting on the factory floor.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and best practices for fixture design.
