Responsibilities
- Understand and help define project specifications and performance requirements for equipment and systems.
- Define project requirements for modifications to existing control systems or installation of new control system hardware.
- Define project requirements for instrumentation, servos, and drives.
- Provide rough order of magnitude estimates for changes and new equipment.
- Update Process and Instrumentation Drawings, Electrical Elementaries, and Loop Sheets.
- Prepare technical documents to support equipment purchase, installation, and testing/qualification.
- Assist with SWIL testing and maintain the project-specific simulation model (ACSL/Matlab).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with demonstrated instrumentation and controls acumen.
- Desire to pursue a career in control systems engineering.
- Preferred skills include Emerson Ovation and MATLAB.
