Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments using nano-lithography and vacuum-based deposition methods for HAMR media.
- Collaborate with material scientists and test engineers to enhance understanding of sputter processes.
- Analyze and present complex data to inform new material development and process improvements.
- Contribute to discovering novel approaches to improve media device reliability and storage capacity.
- Work with engineers to explore new materials and processes through experimentation.
- Share results and feedback with team members to refine experimental designs and outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Current Ph.D. student in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or Math, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with an interest in data potential.
