Responsibilities
- Investigate the impacts of thermal, optical, mechanical, and magnetic properties on media interface.
- Set up component-level evaluation environments for media surface properties and tribology performance.
- Provide analysis support to understand failures.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. candidate in material science, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, or equivalent required (2026 Graduate).
- Knowledge or experience in tribology, interface design, tribology testing, and material analysis.
- Familiarity with head/media interface and HAMR technology.
- Data analytics and statistics skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a positive attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
