Responsibilities
- Collaborate with casting suppliers to ensure tooling and process quality.
- Work with design engineers on casting designs for aerospace components.
- Select casting materials and optimize processes for aerospace applications.
- Qualify casting suppliers and maintain supplier relationships.
- Develop quality control measures and inspection procedures for castings.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization in casting manufacturing.
- Participate in new product introduction projects and support smooth transitions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in materials, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering.
- 5 years of casting engineering experience in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of various casting processes and heat treatment.
- Proficiency in solid modeling using CAD software.
- Understanding of non-destructive techniques for casting inspections.
- Familiarity with aerospace casting manufacturing regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
