Responsibilities
- Own the design, analysis, build, and test of propulsion components and subsystems, including thrusters and fluid systems.
- Drive hardware from concept through qualification, acceptance testing, and flight production.
- Execute hands-on development and hot-fire test campaigns, participating in test setup and operations.
- Support electric propulsion development efforts and performance characterization.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to support design decisions and document analyses.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, technicians, and engineering teams to ensure hardware readiness.
- Travel frequently to support development and test operations at the Mojave test site.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or a related field (completed or expected by June 2026).
- Hands-on engineering experience in mechanical, fluids, or propulsion systems.
- Experience designing, building, and testing real hardware.
- Familiarity with propulsion or high-performance fluid systems.
- Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and basic electrical systems.
- Proficiency with CAD tools and experience with structural or thermal analysis using FEA tools.
- Background in aerospace systems or high-reliability environments is preferred.
