Responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and cost reduction.
- Support make or buy decisions and coordinate design criteria with suppliers.
- Design tooling and fixtures and specify capital equipment for product fabrication.
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing functions, including assembly and QA.
- Generate and manage manufacturing documents and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving for product manufacturing.
- Oversee installation and debugging of tooling and capital equipment.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive and related experience.
- Solid 3D mechanical design experience, preferably with SolidWorks.
- Experience with turbomachinery and high-speed rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM creation.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes for precision turbo machinery.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) of complex equipment.
