Responsibilities

  • Develop aspects of aircraft performance including takeoff and landing performance, enroute performance, and weight and balance engineering.
  • Support the development of performance software applications and tools for operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and manage airport and obstacle data, including NOTAMs, for assigned airports.
  • Work with databases and analytics packages to enhance operational safety and efficiency.
  • Create and review aircraft performance data and perform testing in support of projects.
  • Provide input to the development team on the function and operation of performance systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers on aircraft performance data interpretation and analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree coursework.
  • Must be a rising junior when the internship begins.
  • Availability for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026.
  • Ability to travel without restrictions as required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Strong analytical skills and basic knowledge of aircraft performance.
