Responsibilities
- Develop aspects of aircraft performance including takeoff and landing performance, enroute performance, and weight and balance engineering.
- Support the development of performance software applications and tools for operational efficiency.
- Maintain and manage airport and obstacle data, including NOTAMs, for assigned airports.
- Work with databases and analytics packages to enhance operational safety and efficiency.
- Create and review aircraft performance data and perform testing in support of projects.
- Provide input to the development team on the function and operation of performance systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers on aircraft performance data interpretation and analysis.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree coursework.
- Must be a rising junior when the internship begins.
- Availability for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Ability to travel without restrictions as required.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Strong analytical skills and basic knowledge of aircraft performance.
