The General Engineering Internship at True Anomaly involves contributing to the design, development, and testing of mission-critical spacecraft systems, providing hands-on experience in various engineering tasks related to aerospace technology.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed mechanical designs for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used during spacecraft integration and launch operations.
- Design structural and mechanical interfaces between spacecraft buses and payloads.
- Collaborate with electrical and avionics teams to define wiring harness layouts.
- Develop test plans and support environmental qualification tests.
- Assist in the design and testing of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) algorithms.
- Support propulsion subsystem development and performance modeling.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork and showcase work through presentations.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an engineering discipline at a four-year accredited university.
- Experience in the development of aircraft, spacecraft, or similar systems.
- Must be able to work full-time on-site for 12 consecutive weeks.
- Preferred to have completed Junior/Senior year with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Passionate about advancing space security and sustainability.
- Resilient problem-solving attitude.
- Must provide own transportation and housing.
