The General Engineering Internship at True Anomaly involves contributing to the design, development, and testing of mission-critical spacecraft systems, providing hands-on experience in various engineering tasks related to aerospace technology.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed mechanical designs for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used during spacecraft integration and launch operations.
  • Design structural and mechanical interfaces between spacecraft buses and payloads.
  • Collaborate with electrical and avionics teams to define wiring harness layouts.
  • Develop test plans and support environmental qualification tests.
  • Assist in the design and testing of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) algorithms.
  • Support propulsion subsystem development and performance modeling.
  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork and showcase work through presentations.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering discipline at a four-year accredited university.
  • Experience in the development of aircraft, spacecraft, or similar systems.
  • Must be able to work full-time on-site for 12 consecutive weeks.
  • Preferred to have completed Junior/Senior year with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Passionate about advancing space security and sustainability.
  • Resilient problem-solving attitude.
  • Must provide own transportation and housing.
