Engineer I, Manufacturing

The role is for an Engineer I in Manufacturing at Thermo Fisher Scientific, focusing on ensuring high-quality production and testing standards within the Bioproduction/Purification Process Analytics division.

• Address and report problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures.
• Complete assigned projects with high-quality results.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Revise SOPs to enhance processes and minimize deviations.
• Identify areas for opportunity and drive efficient results.
• Execute manufacturing protocols accurately with limited supervision.
• Provide training and technical leadership within the specialized area.

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field/science (preferably Chemical Engineering) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in Chemical, Operations, Manufacturing, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory control systems desired.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
