Responsibilities
- Own the hardware design and lead development of the vehicle electrical system.
- Design and validate prototype hardware, optimizing designs through testing.
- Evaluate system failure modes and drive integration and validation plans.
- Collaborate with software engineers for hardware/software integration.
- Simplify complex functions into structured requirements and solutions.
- Participate in safety and reliability reviews, addressing reliability issues.
- Collaborate with reliability engineers to support DFMEA and improve validation planning.
Job Requirements
- BS + 10 years, MS + 8 years, or PhD + 6 years in electrical engineering or related field.
- Hardware design experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal interfaces.
- Proficiency with schematic design tools, PCB layout, and simulation tools.
- Familiarity with C programming and microcontroller peripherals.
- Understanding of high-speed signal integrity and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with test and measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
