Responsibilities
- Design embedded hardware and software solutions for novel space-based processors and security technologies.
- Rapidly design and test embedded compute prototypes using FPGAs, SoCs, and other processors.
- Deliver embedded HW/SW solutions focused on AI at the edge and spacecraft security.
- Evaluate and test radiation susceptibility of embedded processors.
- Mentor and coach junior staff.
- Propose and execute research projects based on emerging technologies.
- Present project status and technical findings to internal and external customers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field.
- Eight years of experience in embedded systems design (hardware and software).
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems, PCB development, and FPGA design.
- Familiarity with hardware platforms and embedded interfaces (I2C, SPI, etc.).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Advanced degree and twelve years of experience for Senior Engineering Specialist role.
- Experience in leading teams and presenting technical content.
