Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and iterate mechanical components and assemblies.
- Integrate UAS hardware and software, including payload systems, sensors, and communication links.
- Develop embedded software and integrate sensor payloads on onboard computers and microcontrollers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless hardware and software integration.
- Conduct system-level testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and performance.
- Plan, execute, and document validation tests for new and existing UAS designs.
- Maintain detailed records of design processes, test results, and integration procedures.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 2-5 years’ experience with unmanned systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (NX or similar).
- Experience with embedded systems, hardware integration, and system-level debugging.
- Background in programming languages such as C or Python.
- Experience with UAS autopilot systems (ROS, PX4, Ardupilot).
- Proven track record in conducting UAS flight tests and system troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
