Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Test Engineering, Process Engineering, and Structures Design Engineering for Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Work on mechanical joining equipment installation and ramping high-volume production lines.
- Stabilize joining processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Achieve joining quality targets and develop quality control plans.
- Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DoEs) for optimizing mechanical joining processes.
- Review joint strength and conduct quality analysis.
- Arrange training for the production maintenance team on joining processes.
Job Requirements
- Degree or relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in developing and launching joining processes in automotive industries.
- In-depth knowledge of joining processes, equipment, and metallurgy.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in creating documentation of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Robotic and/or adhesive dispensing systems is preferable.
- Proficient in AUTOCAD, CATIA 3DX, and Microsoft Office tools.
