Responsibilities
- Design automated and semi-automated tooling for manufacturing process validation and prototype builds.
- Develop and test new manufacturing processes for existing and new products.
- Provide design for manufacturing feedback to product design engineering.
- Manage procurement, construction, and deployment of automated production equipment.
- Oversee suppliers during specification, design, buyoff, and installation of manufacturing equipment.
- Ramp high volume manufacturing equipment to meet performance standards.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
Job Requirements
- Prior internships or full-time experience in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software (Solidworks, Catia, AutoCAD).
- Experience with automation systems, robotics, PLCs, and data collection systems.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., fastening, press joining, machine vision).
- Working knowledge of data analysis and statistics (e.g., SPC, JMP, Minitab).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
