Responsibilities
- Design, build, and conduct hands-on experiments with HVAC and refrigeration components.
- Perform 1D modeling and CFD simulation of thermal components.
- Develop and validate thermal and fluid models for hardware and controls optimization.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers.
- Work on system-level thermal architecture of various components.
- Contribute to projects critical to the team’s success.
- Engage in mentorship and training to enhance technical and professional skills.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and electrical fundamentals.
- Experience designing/testing refrigeration components and systems.
- Proficiency in numerical simulation of heat and fluid flow (e.g., STAR-CCM+, Ansys Fluent).
- Experience with developing refrigeration component and system numerical models.
- Knowledge of electronics cooling.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
