Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of battery system designs for Tesla Energy products.
- Component and system mechanical design ownership of battery systems.
- Build-to-print mechanical design for various battery components.
- Develop and execute design validation plans and test methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product requirements.
- Conduct trade studies to guide future product decisions.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to ensure designs meet performance and production requirements.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of product design experience.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling, preferably CATIA V5/6.
- Experience designing for high volume production.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and material science.
- Proficiency in GD&T and high-quality drawing package development.
- Familiarity with battery cell manufacturing and design is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
