Responsibilities
- Develop specifications, requirements, and validation plans.
- Detail design of mechanical parts to support design requirements (sheet metal/machined parts).
- Define and perform verification testing to ensure quality of mechanical design.
- Document components and assemblies.
- Build initial prototypes of proposed designs for validation.
- Communicate effectively with remote teams regarding design proposals.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience with electro-mechanical design.
- Familiarity with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools.
- Experience with sheet metal/machined part design and stress/strain analysis (FEA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work successfully within a team and in a remote environment.
- Experience with semiconductor wafer handling equipment or precision mechanical design.
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or related field.
