Responsibilities
- Develop specifications, requirements, and validation plans.
- Detail design of mechanical parts to support design requirements (sheetmetal/machined parts).
- Define and perform verification testing to ensure quality of mechanical design.
- Document components and assemblies.
- Build initial prototypes of proposed designs for validation.
- Communicate design proposals and work effectively with remote teams.
- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) with vendors.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with electro-mechanical design.
- Familiarity with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools.
- Knowledge of stress/strain analysis and FEA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools (Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.).
