Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the 3D printer for prototype work.
- Design and develop parts for implementation in field products.
- Use SolidWorks to create parts, assemblies, drawings, and FEA simulations.
- Participate in team meetings and present findings professionally.
- Investigate and create solutions for engineering issues, issuing ECO/ECNs as necessary.
- Collaborate on time-sensitive projects from root cause analysis to design verification.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least in the second year of college, pursuing a Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering degree.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for part creation, drawings, and assemblies.
- Knowledge of drafting and design standards (ANSI Y14.5 GD & T).
- Understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing (DFA and DFM).
- Experience in technical and professional writing.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new information.
- Excellent organization and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
