The Applications Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience in hardware, embedded firmware, and automation, working with application teams to redesign and validate Device Interface Boards, develop embedded firmware features, and improve automated test pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Redesign and validate Device Interface Boards (DIBs)
- Develop embedded firmware features
- Improve automated test pipelines
- Debug and validate hardware in a lab environment
- Contribute to firmware development on STM32 microcontrollers
- Support automation for unattended and overnight test runs
- Address real-world engineering challenges, enhancing system stability and test coverage
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer System Engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
- Completed at least freshman year
- Programming skills in C, C++, and/or C#
- Exposure to embedded systems or firmware development (STM32 or similar)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Relevant coursework and/or prior co-op/intern experience preferred
