Responsibilities
- Prepare concepts and detailed designs for high-performance, compact electronics assemblies.
- Design assemblies including precision sheet metal parts, machined parts, printed circuit boards, and high-density electrical connections.
- Collaborate with teams to solve complex electronic packaging problems.
- Support manufacturing by investigating and developing corrective actions for discrepant hardware.
- Interface with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Customer Repair to resolve assembly problems and drawing errors.
- Design, build, and assemble to test processes for packaging and cable harness designs.
- Review and check drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Master's Degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design for high-density electronic packaging.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD Solidworks.
- Solid understanding of FEA Analysis; experience with ANSYS Workbench preferred.
- Knowledge of EMI shielding techniques and grounding features.
- Mechanical hardware assembly/disassembly experience with hand tools and measurement equipment.
- Must be a "US Person" due to access restrictions.
