Responsibilities
- Define requirements for motor control software and interfacing hardware components.
- Design and implement motor controller functionality and algorithms.
- Translate algorithms into software and integrate into the firmware framework.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementations.
- Develop and validate motor control algorithms in laboratory and in-vehicle settings.
- Influence research and development in technologies affecting inverter/motor designs.
- Advance Tau's intellectual property in electric motor design and controls.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong fundamentals in AC electric motors and drive systems.
- Proficiency in linear systems analysis and controller design.
- Basic proficiency in embedded firmware development (C/C++).
- Experience with model development and data analysis (Python or Matlab/Simulink).
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
- Desired advanced degree in electrical engineering or related fields focused on control systems.
