Responsibilities
- Define requirements for motor control software and interfacing hardware components.
- Design and implement motor controller functionality and algorithms.
- Translate algorithms into software and integrate them into the firmware framework.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementations.
- Develop and validate motor control algorithms in laboratory and in-vehicle settings.
- Influence research and development in technologies affecting inverter/motor designs.
- Advance Tau's intellectual property in electric motor design and controls.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong fundamentals of AC electric motors and drive systems.
- Proficiency in embedded firmware development in C/C++.
- Experience with model development and data analysis in Python or Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork preference.
- Desired: Master or PhD in electrical engineering or related field focusing on control systems.
- Knowledge of motor control techniques and safety requirements relevant to power converters.
