Responsibilities
- Define requirements for motor control software and interfacing hardware components.
- Design and implement motor controller functionality and algorithms.
- Translate algorithms into software implementation and integrate into the firmware framework.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementation.
- Develop and validate motor control algorithms in laboratory and in-vehicle settings.
- Maintain awareness of research and development in component technologies impacting inverter/motor designs.
- Advance Tau's intellectual property in electric motor design and controls.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong fundamentals in AC electric motors and drive systems analysis.
- Background in linear systems analysis, stability, and controller design.
- Proficiency in embedded firmware development in C/C++.
- Experience with model development and data analysis in Python or Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong communication skills and a preference for teamwork.
- Advanced degrees (Master or PhD) in relevant engineering fields are desired.
