Responsibilities
- Define requirements for motor control software and interfacing hardware components.
- Drive design of and implement motor controller functionality and algorithms.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementation.
- Develop and validate motor control algorithms in laboratory and vehicle settings.
- Influence research and development in component technologies for inverter/motor designs.
- Advance Tau's intellectual property in electric motor design and controls.
- Collaborate with teams across various engineering disciplines.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong fundamentals in AC electric motors and drive systems.
- Proficiency in embedded firmware development in C/C++.
- Experience with model development and data analysis in Python or Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong communication skills and preference for teamwork.
- Desired: Master or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or mechatronics with a focus on control systems.
- Familiarity with motor control techniques and various PWM schemes.
