Responsibilities
- Define requirements for motor control software and interfacing hardware components.
- Design and implement motor controller functionality and algorithms.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementations.
- Develop and validate motor control algorithms in laboratory and in-vehicle settings.
- Influence research and development in component technologies for inverter/motor designs.
- Advance Tau's intellectual property in electric motor design and controls.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver effective solutions.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong fundamentals in AC electric motors and drive systems.
- Proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++.
- Model development and data analysis experience in Python or Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork preference.
- Desired advanced degree in electrical engineering or related field focusing on control systems.
- Knowledge of motor control techniques and safety requirements for relevant applications.
