Responsibilities
- Lead technical studies on power flow, stability, and capacity analysis.
- Ensure compliance with NERC standards through annual studies.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Design and maintain electric power system models.
- Support planning and design of new distribution and transmission facilities.
- Conduct research, load forecasts, and prepare reports for various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external consultants and respond to customer inquiries.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 2-4 years of engineering experience in a power utility.
- Expert knowledge in power systems analysis and modeling software.
- Strong understanding of NERC and WECC standards.
- Proven project management skills and ability to present findings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Washington State Driver's License and potential for annual training requirements.
