Responsibilities
- Perform detailed calculations for HVAC systems, including load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Ensure the construction of efficient mechanical systems using engineering principles.
- Complete applications engineering related to psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems.
- Develop and review equipment schedules and submittals.
- Prepare Title 24 Acceptance documents and assist with LEED certifications.
- Perform CAD drafting work, including 3D modeling and design standards implementation.
- Collaborate with detailers to ensure consistency in Revit models and shop drawings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in HVAC Drafting/Modeling.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing commercial HVAC systems.
- Proven ability to design commercial HVAC systems across multiple market segments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
- Ability to perform load calculations and familiarity with Title 24 regulations.
- Basic understanding of pdf management software and drafting software (Revit) is a plus.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
