Responsibilities
- Define the structural design of the rocket in coordination with other vehicle components.
- Analyze structural components and write margin summaries, including developing loads or load cases.
- Procure and manage hardware for owned components and structures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineers to build and test initial articles.
- Track and disposition non-conformances for structural hardware.
- Manage the budget and schedule for structural components.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in design, build, and/or testing of vehicle structures.
- Strong fundamentals and experience in development projects from concept to operations.
- Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred) and analysis software (ANSYS preferred).
- Ability to determine appropriate work levels for engineering problems.
- Familiarity with launch vehicle design and cryogenic propellant is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
