Responsibilities
- Responsible for propellant development and characterization.
- Ownership of rocket motor hardware and ground testing hardware development.
- Manage propellant manufacturing process, quality, and reliability assurance.
- Conduct frequent static fire testing.
- Perform post-test and post-flight data reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams for design improvements.
- Conduct analysis on designs using hand calculations, CAD, and FEA.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, structural, or chemical engineering.
- 2+ years of experience with solid propulsion rockets and leadership in a university rocket team.
- High proficiency in CAD software (CREO, Solidworks, NX).
- Strong design for manufacturing skills.
- Preferred: Master's degree in relevant engineering fields.
- Background in chemical engineering and solid rocket propulsion development.
- Excellent communication skills for high-stakes situations.
