Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts and design teams to meet tower design and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and manage production procedures and the transition of parts from development to production.
- Coordinate testing of systems and tooling to meet hardware deadlines.
- Implement design for manufacturability changes for production efficiency.
- Create CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Serve as the primary design engineering contact for efficient assembly builds.
- Maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems design, build, or manufacturing.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years in manufacturing design and aerospace/mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
- Experience with fluid dynamics and large steel structure construction.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) software and CAD/PLM systems.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and at elevated heights.
