Responsibilities
- Detect and triage emerging anomalies on satellite bus and payload hardware.
- Develop operational processes and strategies for new satellite versions and performance targets.
- Write software for automated fault detection and response deployed to satellites.
- Develop ground software systems for managing vehicle state and facilitating deorbits.
- Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to ensure high-performance network connectivity.
- Challenge assumptions and find simple solutions to complex problems.
- Drive continuous improvement in reliability and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field.
- 1+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and/or bash scripting.
- Experience with interdisciplinary engineering projects involving hardware and software.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of hardware reliability and failure mechanisms.
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems through data analysis.
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
