Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, solving manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Review issues on assigned parts and implement changes at suppliers or within SpaceX.
- Create and disposition issue tickets, collaborating with engineering teams.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Own the new product introduction (NPI) process for new or re-sourced parts.
- Drive the production part approval process (PPAP) to ensure stable supply.
- Collaborate with teams to drive improvement in the supply base.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Experience with machining and ancillary operations.
- Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Must be able to travel up to 60-85% and work extended hours as needed.
