Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts and design teams to meet design and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop production procedures and manage the transition of parts from development to production.
- Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling.
- Implement design for manufacturability changes to improve production efficiency.
- Create CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Lead design engineering efforts on-site for efficient build operations.
- Maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
- 2+ years of manufacturing design experience.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
- Experience with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
- Familiarity with large steel structure construction.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
